FISHING CENTRAL AFRICA REPUBLIC and congo
The Central African Republic is a country situated in Central Africa and it shares borders with Cameroon in the west, Sudan in the east, Chad in the north, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo in the south. It is a country of breathtaking natural beauty, with some of the world’s most amazing waterfalls, forests, savannah, and magnificent national parks with a great diversity of wildlife. Besides the lush natural environment, the country is also ethnically rich, with more than 80 different ethnic groups living here. The main tourist attractions in Central African Republic are hunting and fishing.
FISHING GABON
Nowhere else in central Africa is the coastal environment as unspoiled as it is in Gabon. Along the southern (Loango) coast the scenic mosaic of lagoons, sandy beaches, gallery forest and grassy savannahs remains, together with the fisheries and wildlife, in an almost pristine state. Part of this territory is protected within the Loango National Park. Fishing pressure is limited to local subsistence fishing and only two tourist operations.
FISHING CAMEROON
Cameroon has some very large river systems including the Sanaga and Dja river systems and many other smaller rivers which are scattered throughout the country. The annual rainfall in Cameroon is unreal and the level of the river near the capital Yaoundé, the Njong River, varied as much as 3m between the wet season and the dry season in March.

FISHING CAMEROON
There is brilliant fishing in the North where very large tiger fish and Nile perch can be caught. The area around Yaoundé which is 300 km from the coast is dense rainforest and access to the river is difficult. One of the most prolific species in the Njong river is the Pellonuline.
Other species include Alestes and a fish that must be a tilapia of sorts, Kafue pike and another huge fish Kangha which does not take fly, but gets your heart racing when they slap their tails on the water. ALSO, some very large Barbus species on the Sanaga River.
Casting Vibrax spinners is also very productive and the Alestes; these are beautiful fish that come in a variety of different colors and they put up a great fight. PRICES ON REQUEST
